Indian Dessets
August 12, 2018Desserts or mithai is a very significant element in Indian Cuisine. No Indian meal is complete if there is no dessert in it. Ingredients and types of desserts differ from region to region in India. Most of them are made up of milk products and sugar. Let's talk about some of them which are shown in this picture. It is made up of powdered milk, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and oil. **Rasgulla -** The name Rasgulla comes from two words ras ("juice") and gulla ("ball"). It is made up of chhena where chhena mixture is formed into small balls and then these balls are then simmered in a sugar syrup. **Basundi -** Basundi is a sweetened condensed milk made by boiling milk on low heat until the milk is reduced by half. It is mainly famous in Northern parts of India. **Raj Bhog -** Again one more chhena sweets which is famous in eastern parts of India. It is just another version of Rasgulla which can also be stuffed with dry fruits or mawa and is bigger in size.
