    Let's discuss - Should you change your passwords regularly?

    You might have heard a lot of time that "Change your passwords regularly", but I would like to ask you that how often you change your passwords and why and should you on the first place change your passwords regularly?

    It's a good advice but it is not a rule that you should change your passwords regularly. Why usually people give the advice to change the passwords because then someone who has acquired your password cannot have access to your important documents for a longer period of time.

    Why on Earth, anyone would wait for an extended period of time to keep track of you. If they got your Bank Account Password, they can certainly transfer the money now and will not wait for an extended period of time. So tell me changing the password regularly is good or bad?

    Now let's say you change the passwords regularly, if a hacker got your password on the first place then its a high probability that they will get your passwords again in the future as well.

    Bdw somewhere changing passwords comes in handy, for say your friend wants to debug an application of yours and need an admin password for a short duration, then it might help because you don't want them to use your passwords for a long period of time.

    What you think should changing the password regularly is a good practice or not?
